Original illustration by Marcellus Hall designed to accompany a charming New Yorker piece about a visit by socialite and fashion connoisseur Mickey Boardman to H&M’s flagship store on Fifth Avenue. Published on March 12, 2001.
Ink, watercolor, and colored pencil on 11.5” x 4.75” Arches 140 lb. cold-pressed watercolor paper. The artist’s initials appear in the lower right corner of the image. The reverse side of the image contains the dates of creation and publication of the piece, and the artist’s return address. A protective tissue cover sheet is taped to the reverse side which folds over the front of the image. Excellent condition.
