Matt Diffee

Matthew Diffee is an award-winning cartoonist who has been contributing cartoons to The New Yorker magazine since 1999. His work also appears in Time Magazine and Texas Monthly. He is the editor of multiple volumes of “The Rejection Collection: Cartoons You Never Saw and Never Will See in The New Yorker” published by Simon & Schuster. His own book of cartoons, “Hand Drawn Jokes for Smart Attractive People,” was named an NPR book of the year. He has done illustrations for bands like the Punch Brothers and a special collector’s edition of Stephen King’s novel “Under the Dome.” Diffee has spoken at such prestigious venues as The Dallas Museum of Art, The Cunard Cruise Lines, Beaver Creek Ski Resorts, San Francisco’s City Arts & Lectures, South By Southwest, TedX and The Smithsonian Institute, as well as colleges and comedy stages all over the country. He has been featured in The New York Times, The Washington Post and on CNN, PBS, ABC, CBS and NPR’s Fresh Air. Steve Martin called Diffee “Truly one of the funniest people in the rarified world of first rate cartooning.”
