Benjamin Schwartz

Benjamin Schwartz has written and drawn cartoons for the New Yorker since 2011. His work has also appeared in Esquire, Airmail, and Wired, among others.  Before pursuing cartooning, he earned a medical degree from Columbia University, where he is currently a faculty member at the Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons. In his academic role, he uses comics and visual storytelling techniques to teach medical students how to better communicate and empathize with their patients.
