Look at all the Baby Sitters

Original, hand-drawn cartoon by William Galbraith Crawford for the daily syndicated newspaper cartoon, "Side Glances."  This cartoon, with the caption "Look, Mama -- look at all the baby sitters!" was published on March 24, 1960.  

William Galbraith Crawford was a movie poster illustrator and magazine cartoonist during the decade or two following the depression.  He worked on Side Glances from 1939 (when he took over the job from its creator, George Clark) till 1962 (when he handed it off to Gill Fox).  Side Glances was ultimately retired in 1985.

Ink, lithographic crayon, and white out on 8.5" x 11" Coquille board.  Paper discoloration consistent with age.  The caption, presumably in the artist's handwriting, as well as a date stamp, are on the reverse side of the image.  Minor blunting of the bottom corners.  Overall, very good condition.
