Wish You'd Come to See Me Sooner

Leo Cullum

Leo Cullum (1942-2010) was a prolific cartoonist, having published in numerous magazines over the course his cartooning career (he was a commercial airline pilot too), including the New Yorker, Playboy, Barron's, and the Harvard Business Review.  In his obituary, the New York Times observed his penchant for "clueless doctors" and we're lucky to have this fine, full-color sample, published in Barron's on November 14, 2002.

Sharpie pen, black, and color ink wash on 11" x 14" Bristol Board.  The artist's personal stamp, and the date of publication appear on the reverse side.  Excellent condition.
