The Real Emergency

Original artwork by Barry Blitt, published on the cover of the New Yorker magazine's March 4, 2019 issue.

Barry Blitt has contributed more than a hundred covers to The New Yorker.  In 2020, he won the Pulitzer Prize for editorial cartooning for work that included several covers for the magazine, as well as an array of cartoons that appeared in its pages and on its website.

This piece was created with pen, ink, and watercolor paint on 13" x 9" cold-press watercolor paper.
